because i sure as fuck did not expect to be ~back~ in kpop in 2023, especially getting into a new group (well, not 100% new, i watched ofd castaway boys back in 2017 and knew most of svt's title tracks so far but STILL) here's a place to let my gose thoughts out in the open, in no particular order.

 

[GOING SEVENTEEN] EP.76 전원 회식 (A Company Dinner for EveryWON)

• everytime i think i get an okay grasp of drinking games they come up with something else... what the FUCK is the whale game about, actually??? rhythm???
• PC방 가는 조합... PC방즈.... my new fave line, actually...
• like everyone else i am NOT immune to 28:08 wonwoo.... class president energy off the charts...... "it's my first time hearing wonwoo's voice being so loud"....excuse me while i go scream in a pillow.... seungkwan's impressed look... jeon wonwoo the man that you are <333

• i think at some point of this episode mingyu was taking shots constantly and he honestly looked absurdly tipsy... love that for him. drunk puppy

 

• minghao's tender hand on chan's neck after he drinks the shot for him hmmmmmm...

 

GOING SEVENTEEN 2019 EP.21 TTT #1 (Camping Ver.)

• want to start off saying that i went back to the episode to take screenshots/review my points and picked a random timestamp and was immediately graced with the below, which coincidentally is takeaway #1 from this episode: KITTENS.

• truly never over it

• hoshi+jeonghan catching bugs might be peak comedy actually.......
• wonwoo's absolute embarrassment at them being Cheaters who Cheat unabashedly....... 

• for some reason i replayed this bit a ridiculous amount of time.. joshua comforting mingyu who suddenly looks sad af... lost puppy!! the callback to him being forced to self-reflect after losing rock paper scissors earlier kgjkljlgh 반성 중 :pensive-emoji: 

• EMOTIONAL TALKS AT DINNER.... this is the boyband experience(tm) i am ALWAYS here for. minghao's "i just want to listen [today]" AHHHHH.
• everyone toasting normally and wonwoo out there with the bottle of wine... go off king.

actually took notes while watching pt2 of this one instead of just gathering my thoughts after, hence why it's so. long :)))))))))))

• the maknae is truly maknae-ing
• WAIT A MINUTE why don't we change the cook... love how hoshi deciding to cook is framed as a refreshing change....... ominous tbh.

• jeonghan telling jihoon to NOT help hoshi with the water....but also admitting that it's too much water... rip lee jihoon. HIS FACE..... truly so much micromanagement of soonyoung's kimchi jjim...... i think soonyoung is the only one who truly could have endured such micromanagement lmao he doesn't complain, just takes it in good stride u__u what a sweet boy...

• mingyu being bullied by jeonghan+dk to eat raw green onion.. saying he cant do it then doing it..BIG BABY VIBES...

• more micromanagement of hoshi's kimchi jjim from mingyu WHISPERING INTO HIS EAR about removing some water.....

• wonwoo's clear disgust at dk and mingyu spitting seeds at each other's face... ~*U RLLY ARE FAMILY*~
• DINO SILENTLY GOING TO PREPARE THE RICE T______T the maknae is maknae-ing <3
• seungkwan waiting to add his donggeurangtaeng..... T_T CUTE. also knowing when this was filmed,,, ahhh T_T my heart. 

• kimchi jjim that is definitely not kimchi jjigae caption at the end omggggg. LET HOSHI LIVE. 

• them taking pictures of the moon...

once again i am taking notes as i watch so this is long. probably fave gose ep so far? idk. so much to think about hmmm.

• dino asking them to drop their phones....... OLD MAN ACTUALLY, NOT THE MAKNAE. (REAL)
• kicking his feet kim mingyu about chapaghetti...
• ideal house spouse kim mingyu (the callback to ofd castaway... where it all began...)
• HI BABYDEUL??????? rent-free in my mind forever.
• seungkwan and dk ARE in charge of the poolside entertainment at the seventeen watersports resort, yes, thank u for asking

• wonwoo asking dk to sign his foot. ok simp. 

• seungkwan worrying about vernon staying alone..... T_T
• side note: dino looks so hot in this episode. i think it's the hair color. or everything. idk. lee chan Hot.
• side note eternally fascinated that they don't adhere to age honorifics conventions?????????? chan straight out calling out jihoon-ah in this episode lmfao #family
